About Us

Welcome to our website. We are a class dedicated to the learning and preserving of Wing Chun and Cultural Arts. We invite you to stop on by if you are interested in the art of Wing Chun and making new friends along your Martial Arts journey.  

The class is held in a friendly environment with helpful class members. Our goal is to remain an open minded class for people who are genuinely interested in Wing Chun and Martial Arts. Keeping the class friendly, allows people the ability to ask questions, discuss techniques, share experiences and grow as Martial Artist in a safe and comfortable atmosphere.  

We encouage our members to explore different Martial Arts styles, techniques and theories, to gain greater insight of our own art. We have taken class trips to see different arts and touch different hands to broaden our own knowledge and to share what we have learned. Our class has hosted like-minded guests who genuinely care about the the perservation of the arts.



Class Description:

Intro to Wing Chun Kung Fu                                                                                                          Ages 14
  
Wing Chun Kung Fu is a Chinese Martial Art which minimal energy is used to achieve maximal results. The basic foundation for this style is taught thought the first form, Sil Lim Tao, in which students learn to develop sensitivity and energy flow, economy and efficiency of motion and center-line theory. This class or prior Wing Chun experience is a prerequisite for the Wing Chun Kung Fu course.


Wing Chun Kung Fu                                                                                                                         Ages 14 
This class will focus on sharpening the skills as well as broadening students’ knowledge and understanding of Wing Chun. Course will include instruction on the second form: Chum Kiu, third form: Biu Gee, Wooden Dummy as well as progression of “Sticking Hands” (Chi Sau) and Sparring.

About the Instructor: 
Classes are lead by Sifu Alson Yuen. Alson holds the title for the 1991 International Chinese Martial Arts, Wing Chun “Chi Sau” Champion. He started his martial arts career as a young boy in Hong Kong, but further developed his skills from Grand Master Kenneth Chung in the Bay Area in the late 80’s. He has been teaching and sharing his knowledge since 1993.

Instructor Stephen Jeung started his Wing Chun training in 1993 and has studied Wing Chun under Sifu Patrick Au and Sifu Ben Der. Sifu Stephen formally retired from teaching in 2018, however remains as an active member of class.
